About a month ago Wecandance announced this years theme for their 3rd edition: tropical. I can only imagine that choice being a massive hit. Not only is it the most colorful theme since they started, it’s also the most personal one yet. You can do whatever you want with this theme, without feeling like you’re at a dress up party.
Don’t know what the hell I’m talking about? Well, Wecandance is a relatively new electronic two-day festival at the Belgian coast, but it’s unique in our country because of its specific dresscode and decorations. While the first edition started out with a pretty “cautious” theme (Hippie chic), the second took it a bit further (Ancient Egypt), resulting in gorgeous sights and impressive photographs.
Wecandance has been an amazing experience so far, even though last year didn’t go as smoothly as planned. There were some organizational hiccups and mistakes, but they realize that. And since most of the issues were caused by bad weather conditions, I can’t really blame them. You can’t go bigger and further without a few bumps in the road, and I’m sure the entire team has learned from it. Other than that, I’ll end this post with a few photographs from last years edition, just so you’ll get an impression of the event. Swoon.
