Spring has finally arrived in Belgium, and just about everyone is trying to get as much sun as possible. Evidently, bright and colorful fashion has arrived as well. So today, after hours of doing absolutely nothing whilst sunbathing on my terrace (I regret nothing), I decided to hit the city to do some shopping. When a lovely white crop top caught my eye, my face went from blissful relaxation to annoyed horror in no time. Every single top was covered in foundation. Really, bitches? Is it that hard to be careful when you try on something white or light-colored? If you know you’re wearing foundation creme, please, try to keep it on your face instead of smearing it across the clothes you’re fitting. And how on earth are you even able to put those clothes back without flinching? I’d feel awful and probably buy everything I just single-handedly ruined out of pure guilt. Guess you couldn’t be bothered less though. Where’s your conscience?! WHERE’S YOUR EMPATHY? WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU?!

Look, I get why girls wear foundation, I do. I personally don’t use it, and if I do try some on I like to keep it as minimal as possible. To me, it just feels really uncomfortable and unnatural, as if somebody painted on my face. That being said, I can understand why some girls use it. And hell, a little touche éclat can work miracles. Just applying a simple line/layer underneath the eyes can make you look 10 times better. But sweety, there’s a difference between covering up some imperfections and covering up.. your entire face. For the sake of my future clothes: stop. Just stop.

And in case you’re wondering: the incredibly enlightened and oh so original title of this post is made up by my brilliant Schwester, ValérieI’m so proud.
