I’m not a huge make-up fan. It’s not that I don’t appreciate it (I always have some form of respect for a girl who has the courage to plaster her face to perfection, taking about an hour or two), but I’m not good at it and truth be told: I’m way too lazy when it comes to such things. Besides, I think a full on foundation face is néver a good look.
I like to keep things simple: mascara, maybe a concealer for some imperfections, and the occasional brow pencil (#browsonfleek) is more than enough for me. Sometimes tho, I go batshit crazy and wear.. lipstick. (I’m gonna wait a sec to proceed this post and delay my rambling about make-up by typing this sentence so you get a chance to overcome your initial shock).
I can give you one advice when it comes to lipstick: buy yours at & Other Stories. They are moisturizing, hardly fade and there’s a nice range of colors to choose from. I like Marquisette Rouge, Bowknot Rose and Calamanco Coral. Truly. They’re great.
Before I discovered those, I went to M.A.C. for lipstick, but theirs never felt right. They always seemed to be too dry, almost instantly peeling off and leaving me in desperate need of some lip balm. On top of that they still sell cosmetics in China, where animal testing is required by law, and I’d rather not support that. I’ve heard good things about MUD (Make-Up Designory), so you might want to check them out as well. As for now, I’ll stick to &OS.
