A few weeks ago I ordered 3 Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits*, because why the hell not, right? If there’s one thing miss Jenner knows about: it’s lips and how to accentuate them. I chose Dolce K (Medium nude meets brown, pink undertone), Posie K (Mauve pink, subtly bright) and one of the latest additions to the collection: Love Bite (Purple mauve, dark yet versatile).

Packaging is simple, as it should be. Standard black box delivery, possibly a bit damaged by transport, on the inside “decorated” à la classic Kylie: her name printed below running makeup. Inside: your order, along with a card graced with a message from Kylie, which occasionally changes. (A printed hand-written message for me? For meeeee? I feel so special right now. Like omg -bursts into tears of joy-)**

A lip kit contains a lip gloss (aka liquid lipstick) and a lip liner pencil. Don’t be fooled by the word ‘gloss’: it dries instantly and creates a matte finish that doesn’t smudge or stain. No sticky business. Consider me pleasantly surprised. The colors match their online display, so you can trust the photos you find on the magical interweb. If you’re still deciding which color you like, I advise you to Instagram them (for example #posiek) and look at as many photos as possible. Long-lasting? I believe so. I think it’s fairly normal that your lipstick needs a touch-up every now and then, especially after eating, so no complaints there. Equal coverage? Uhu. Guess that settles it: Kylie’s Lip Kits get the stamp of approval from me, regardless of whether I like or dislike the Kardashian/Jenner clan. Now, somebody better call her office to inform her about this glorious news.
